Who/what is Antonia Arts

You will feel empowered to become a professional in the arts if you’re not already and if that is what your heart desires.

Mission and Philosophy

The mission of Antonia Arts is to serve the city of Peekskill by teaching, mentoring, and supporting aspiring and professional artists of all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. This is done by offering an array of classes, workshops, and opportunities for creative expression, with scholarships from the Antonia Arts Foundation being offered upon request.

Antonia Arts is always moving forward with performances and family entertainment. This includes but is not limited to main stage musical theater productions, music concerts, dance showcases, staged readings, and more.

All are welcome to express their unique self. We welcome new voices, new works and new audiences. At Antonia Arts you will learn the “Power of Now,” which is what we consider to be the artistic flow that occurs when one is truly in their element, or “in the moment” and mindful. In conjunction with that idea, we foster the creation of innovative and cutting-edge artistic works.

We put a strong emphasis on professionalism here at Antonia Arts. Although you need not be a professional to partake in classes and events at Antonia Arts; we welcome all levels of experience, from the true beginner to the seasoned pro; know that you will be taught and trained by professionals in their chosen field, whether it be art, theater, writing, dance, or music. You will feel empowered to become a professional in the arts if you’re not already and if that is what your heart desires.

Furthermore, your training at Antonia Arts will give you skills to increase your confidence and be good at whatever professional career path you choose in life.
